So just got back from the dealership after getting my free oil change at 10k. Before I went in i noticed in the oil catch by the filter there was a little oil in there. Then after getting the oil change today there is already a little oil in the catch. Should I be worried?

Maybe its the oil from the oil change? I mean if you took the filter out, wouldn't it kinda splash all over? I haven't changed my trucks oil filter yet so iI'm not 100% sure how it sits

Might of had a leak before, I would think whats in there now might have been from the change. Wipe out the oil and see if it comes back.

Doesn't splash but pours out as you remove it, you have to remove the little plug on the bottom and put something under there to catch it. Some people run a tube from it down to the oil pan to catch it. I use a cup.
