I have a 2012 tacoma and I just tried to do the fog light mod(s) that i have seen. my fuse box looks identical so i thought it was worth a shot. I tried the one where you splice into the lime green wire and then bend the prong on the relay- didn't work, so i tried the one where you jam the wire in with the trailer brake- didn't work. More than anything i just want to know what the wire i clipped goes to so that if it ever goes out i know the first place to look. if anyone knows anything, help me out.

does anyone now what the green wire goes to on a pre '12? I found the fog light relay in the small fuse next to the big one in the engine bay, I'm going run a wire from the relay to said green wire, since it is already spliced. but if anyone has any IDEA, i'll settle for an educated guess, what that green wire goes to I would be most appreciative.

i did some looking and the '12's have an extra fuse box next to the main box, our fog relay is located in there. the relay in our main box in the same location on the older models is now an intake relay.

ive read it, i tried it and thats how I found out the 12's fog relay is in the smaller box. i havent tested to see if the light green wire (same as my 12) is the still the fog wire. I need to get some connectors, i will probably mess with it this week. If someone else has a 12 and has done this, feel free to share :gossip:

uses the same relays...just have to run the cable between the 2 boxes. got the help from "OLYMPIC VIEW". I also posted pics of my install

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/lighting/132862-fog-lights-w-parking-low-beam-high-beam-8.html#post4039711

I posted 2 different methods that require no splicing, but require bending tab #1 of the fog relay

Post #140 is fogs only when parkign/low/high beam lights are on

Post #141 is fogs anytime the key is in the "ON" position

both methods turn the fogs off when you shut down the car

search button...that's how I figured how to do my 2012. I switched the lime green and red/black wires under the small relay box. It's a pita to pull those wires out if you don't have the proper tools. just put the bottom right light green where the top right red/black was and red/black where the green was. No splicing, bending, etc. Clean look, like factory. Will post pictures soon.

Hi Nut, this mod is clean but would it be a little safer to put a fuse between the connections?

    Thanks.
