Gear sanity check old 4.10 vs new 4.10

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser

Anybody compared 2gen 4.10 to 1gen 4.10 rear? For some unknown reason I can only find front diffs no rear ones. I have r&p 4.10 out of 99 1 gen so I am thinking I could swap it on cheap. Just get front diff from junkyard and use my old 4.10 in the rear.
I mean apart of width rear axles should be the same right ? (that and 4cyl vs v6 diff)
