Is it so other people can hear it outside? Do you listen to it that loud? If I had that much into my stereo, I wouldnt ever leave the truck. I would just integrate my cable TV into my truck since thats about the price of 8 55" flat screen hdtvs.
I have (retail) around 4k in stereo, by the time I'm done it will be around 10-15k

And you can BARLEY hear it from outside the truck when the stereo is up. Sound deadening FTW. Really the stock stereo is louder with the windows rolled then mine is after I sound deadened the truck.

I'm an audio freak. I don't ever plan on jumping my truck, driving up big rocks, pre-running it or anything that would require me to have more suspension. I'm getting ready to buy an off road rig to beat the shit out of that for just that reason.

The only time I go off road currently is to find a spot to shoot guns. This truck needs to last me 10+ years easy. Since I spend a ton of time inside my truck, I want it to be as comfortable and enjoyable to me as possible. To me dropping 10k in a stereo is no different than people dropping 10k into a suspension. It's all about what YOU want your ride to do.

My truck already had Fox 2.5" Coilovers up front with Reservoirs, Fox 2.0 in rear with Reservoirs, 17" Moto Metal Wheels, BFG M/Ts, Doug Thorley Long Tubes, 2.5" ReadyLift Spacers, AAL, All-Pro Front Bumper, Smittybilt XRC8 Winch, Synthetic Winch Line, Dynamatted Rear Wall, and a Fujita intake.. so whatever all of that was worth plus everything I've done since I bought it in October 2012.. which is a few dollars shy of $8,000 right now. Lift, Tires, & Rear Bumper being my largest purchases.. the rest was all stereo/lighting/steps/tint/bed cover/weathertechs/train horns.. etc.

I'm right around $5K right now with pretty minimal mods to my '11. Grille guard, 3" suspension lift, rims/tires, cat back exhaust, tool box, and sound system.

If engine rebuild, tires, and a fuel pump count as mods, I'm in the hole for about $2400 now.

I'm at about $3600 right now. I don't plan on much more but every single person on this forum knows that is impossible.

Not much, about 300-400 bucks so far, i bought some new headlight and fog light bulbs, black led brake light and black led tail lights. Unfortunately I was loading 2x4s in the back one day and cracked one of the led tails, since they only sell them in pairs I am going to pick new ones up down the road that look even better just have to wait till I'm not broke :/

Damn when I started adding it all up it was heading up north of $9000. Front and rear bumper, sliders, winch, two sets of (5) wheels, a separate set of tires for wheeling, winch, synthetic line, full set of skids, blah blah blah. It's a bit scary to think about but I think my empty pocketbook will put a stop to any big mods for a little while.

Can't say I regret any of my mods (except for the oval nerf steps I purchased with the Taco). Those were about as useful as a boob job on a 4 year old.
