    A local store here in Canada has Mobil1 synthetic 0w40 European formula on for a good price. I know the manual calls for 5w30 but would it hurt to use the 0W40?

    Yes, it would blow your motor up!!!! Use 5W30!

    Way too thick of an oil to run IMO.
