Engine Weight

I need to find out the weight of my engine so I can match sandbag weight in the back. I have a 2007 double cab prerunner. Thank You

 

Engine weight is irrelevant, you don't need to match it for the bed weight. I just throw about 270 lbs of steel weights in the front of the bed. Good tires make a huge difference also.

 

2x 60lb bags of sand in the nook between the front of the box and the wheel wells made a world of difference for me. I also run my rear tires at about 26 psi

In the words of Mr. 4x2, wholy sheeit! That's a lot of weight to be toting every day just for extra traction. 300 should be more than enough, if it's not you need better tires and a lighter foot! Keep the weight over or in front of the rear axle, if you put it behind the rear axle, you're just unweighting the front end. It's more important to steer and stop.
