Screw These Plastic Screws!!!

Anyone else hate these plastic screws as much as I do? I have some holding up my bumper. I managed to get one off but decimated the second into pieces! I still have a few more to take off and they're a little harder to access. Is there a trick for taking these screws off in tact without breaking them? Am I better off just ordering a new set when reinstalling the bumper?

It's a Philips screw that splits two tabs apart. The Philips screw just spins in place because it has no counter threads to grab onto now that the tabs are spread out. The only way I've found to take out the whole part is by pressing the tabs together then unscrewing, but that's going to be impossible for some sections that don't allow access to the bottom of the screw.

 

I'm thinking I'll just hot glue a piece of plastic to the tops of the screws. This should allow me to pull up on the screw up just enough to catch a thread or two.. What a pain

 

Ain't no easy way on those that I know of. I used two very small standard screwdrivers to wedge up on the center pin to get it to pop up without damaging it too much. Definitely a Royal PITA though.
