Uneven Front Brake Wear, 1st Gen, 4wd

Just changed the front brakes and rotors on my '99 Taco 4wd cause the right side was grinding. Did the right first, and as expected the pads were down to metal. When I got to the left, I saw that I still had a fair amount of friction material left on each pad. I also noticed that the right rotor was also more worn down on the side that had not yet made metal contact. In any case, I renewed rotors and pads on both sides. I've included a couple of pics.

Anyone have any ideas as to why the uneven wear?

bleed the brakes and see if it helps?

 

Was the worn out pad on the inside or outside? Did your truck pull bad to one side when braking? Did you lube everything when you put the new pads on?

 

Of course we are talking about last time i did the work, so I don't remember exactly what I did. This time I lubed the pins, though I realized after getting the pads and pins in place I didn't lube the pad ends, where they ride on the calipers. In another thread, I read that if the pins are not smooth, that can cause the pads to stick. It never really pulled to one side. Worn pad was on the outside.

 

Do you drive hard into corners the floating rotor design will allow the rotor to shift on hard turns and cause outer pad wear. Also a loose wheel bearing can cause this issue
