I installed my bilstein 5100's yesterday and i had to use a pickle fork to seperate the steering ball joint where it bolts to the spindle. ( I think its called a tie rod end but not sure). i sqeezed alot of grease out of it and possibly poked a small hole in it with the pickle fork. Can i replace just the rubber boot or is it attached to the tie rod? does the hole even matter that much if i dont mud bog the truck and only do light offroading?
