battery sparked on tray

so i have a problem my battery cable hit my battery tray and sparked now my truc wont stay on ive gone over the whole thing by eye does any body have any ideas of what could have happen it an 08 taco

Does the truck start up then die? or is it just not starting at all?

it starts then it dies out after about ten minutes and where is the main fuse i checked fuse box everything is good computer is good im stumped...

 

Mike, can you answer a few questions about this ? When you say it starts, does it start normally,or does it barely turn over ? Have you put a meter on the battery while it is running to see if the battery is getting charged ? When you say it dies after 10 minutes, Does it shut off quickly or sputter then cuts off ? Can you restart the engine after it dies ?

If you can answer some of theses questions, I am sure more people will be able to give some more help with this. Good Luck.

 

i have not puta metter up to the battery yet but if i disconnect the postive side it stays running off the alt. it does not turn over right away it takes a couple of cranks and when its turnning off it kinda sputters but everything dies all lights and i can not restart the engine once it dies..

 

There are two boxes, did you check 'em both?

 

Have the battery tested you may have fried something in there. Which side did you disconnect? Always unhook the Negative first that way it stops the circuit.

 

I'd say your battery took a shit.
