Since building my front bumper, I have hooked up to a few trailers. Getting out and judging distance from ball to tongue, over and over, is rather annoying. Has anyone thought of a way to add a camera in the front?

I would like to install a camera so I can have a similar viewpoint as rear when hooking up a trailer. I would like to be able to use the same screen, in the rearview mirror. I would like cameras on a toggle, front/rear.

Any information would be great. If you are an electronics expert and can figure this out, feel free to investigate. :D

    Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you would need the same wires that run to the rear camera to run to the front. The wire that sends the video back can be hooked up on a switch to direct the camera you want back to the screen. Maybe radio shack sells a switch to help you with that.

Connect both cameras to the video display at the same input. Install a three position switch that sends power to the front camera in one position and the rear in the other and is off in the center position. Since only one camera is on at any given time this should work and be the cheapest way to do it.

    Thanks!

Here's one problem, I don't have the time to chase wiring or anything like that. :D

You will not be able to connect 2 camera feeds to the same input. Its not a simple wire and the cable that feeds the signal is not multiplex so it will not carry additional signal input.
Add a second rear view mirror, ha
