brakes

97 Tacoma...brakes are noisy (squeal) after it rains or is really humid outside. Is this common for these trucks? Theres about 30% left on the pads and rotors looks good. This is my first toyota so I havent a clue. I'll prob end up putting in new pads to see if it helps but I'd figured I'd ask first for any other suggestions. Thanks.

 

i have a 2000 and a 2007 tacoma i havent yet heard the squeal

 

alot of times, you can use a section of sand paper on the drums and the brake shoes and that will take care of the problem. when they glaze up a little bit, they will start to squeal.
as for the front brakes, you can use a bit f sand paper on the pads just to scuff them up a bit, and that may take care of the problem! i had to do this on my wifes mustang about once a month when we had it......she was hell on her brakes!
