How do I replace the spiral cable in the steering column. Is the air bag going to be a problem ?? Thanks

Do they have a solution for the recall now? Last I heard, they were still working on it.

Theres a whole thread on this in the 2nd gen section...

if your light is already on, they will change it now. If your light is not on...wait til they tell you to come in.

Yep. Let them do it for free.

I got a notice in the mail that said they will contact me when they have the parts to fix it. My airbag light is not on. I'd imagine you go to the front of the line if you have the light on.

    Not exactly.

If the light is on, they'll replace the clockspring with the current inventory item.

They have shipped ZERO actual recall "remedy" parts as of now, but they don't want us driving around without airbags so they have to fix those that have already failed.

If your light is on, get it fixed, and get it fixed again when they get the proper replacement parts.
