    They didn't suggest replacing the cabin air filter? (not sure if 99's even had them) Everytime I go near the dealership they "reccommend" replacing the cabin air filter. Their price is $42 for the filter and $75 to install it. From their parts dept I could buy it for $25. I but them online for about $6 and install myself....does not require any tools and takes less than 4 minutes. Highway robbery!

    Or i love the Jiffy Lube guys... who take the filter out to show you. Then I tell them to put it back in.

    :rofl: at what they want for wipers. i go to Orileys and get the good bosch wiper blades for under $30. about the only think they do is oil. and air filters. but i’m about to get a diff air filter and do oil my self.

    i also don’t let them do washer fluid. i do it my self. rain x for the win.

    I never have nor ever will go to a stealership unless I can't get the part anywhere else. T never let them work on any of my vehicles. The jobs I'm unable to do myself I go to a very nice and honest local garage. FYI, my local Toyota stealership is Mike Erdman on Merritt Island out here on the East coast. Never been, but man I've heard some bad tails from people who have.

    Dealerships don't make alot of money selling cars. They make a majority of their money in the service department. Now you see why. There are people that will pay $50 wiper blade change.

    Oh my goodness tell me about it. My mom has an 05 Sequoia and the rear tailgate has a wiper, rear defrost, it shoots wiper fluid on it, and the window rolls down. Yeah all that broke. Everything in the rear tailgate broke. We replaced the motor 3 TIMES!!!! And they still want to keep replacing the motor on it as if its going to be the fix this time. When she brings her car into Toyota to get something simple done they want her to replace the rear wiper. IT DOESN'T WORK!! WHY WOULD WE REPLACE IT?!! Man they must be real desperate.

    I sure hope something serious doesn't go out on my truck! I don't have the money to be replacing $50 wiper blades much less window motors and cabin air filters! :rolleyes:

    Going in for 128k service tomorrow (80k miles) and have estimated bill of $390 or so. Basically should be the whole thing on Toyotas maintanance menu other than changing spark plugs. Does that seem about right? These are the major items that I remember. Thanks in advance.

    Front diff fluid -> $70
    Rear diff fluid -> $70
    Manual Trans fluid -> $80
    Coolant -> $125
    Lubricate propellor shaft
    Transfer case fluid
    Oil change -> free
    Cabin air filter $55 declined, I change my own.
    Tighten propellor shaft bolts

    I think I would have asked them if this was a joke. What kind of tires are over 700 dollars to install, do they last for 150000 miles? And those wipers must last for 2 years.

    What world do you live in? $700 for four tires installed on a truck is relatively cheap, especially a quality tire. :confused:
