I put new tires on my truck. They are a little larger than the OEM ones and it may be a coincidince but I seem to be having difficulty get the truck into and out of 4wd now. It will only engage under 30mph anything over and it just flashes forever--not the beep / flash of going to fast just a flash and no 4wd. Also taking it out of 4wd makes an increadle clunk and feels like the front end is falling out if done while moving. Everything seems to work when stopped. Anyone know if this could be because of the larger tires, or if there is something wrong. Thanks

no replies... I guess I will take it into the dealer, I just have a fear that they are going to blame the tires without even looking at it---then as soon as the warranty is out--the real problem will show itself at my expense.

Shouldn't you be engaging it under 30mph anyway..

I don't have much to offer you but. When I first got my truck it was a little slow and noisey going in and out of 4wd. After using it several times it goes like butta. I have never tried putting it in over a 5mph. Good luck to you. I'm sure someone will chime in w/ better info.

When going from 4x2 to 4x4 and vice versa, i always do it while at a complete stop unless the situation requires me to keep moving (sand) at that point im never over 30mph. It sounds like you've put your transfer case thru some hard times
