Question. I need some help

    my truck sputters when i accelerate, new plugs, wires. new cat. im trying to find out if this is true... they told me it could be my distributor... but wouldnt that throw the check engine light on? my moms bf has an altima and he replaced the fuel filter and it got rid of his sputtering.???


    any help?

    getting there....
    try seafoaming and cleaning the throttle body first. may help your situation. then change the fuel filter.

    yea good idea. but would a bad distributor throw a check engine light

    that really just depends..................but i really dont think there are many sensors in connection with the distributor....so im not totally sure man.

    On your truck, a bad distributer wont throw an CEL. What engine do you have?

    It could be the distributer or the fuel filter. you can check the ditributer and see if there is any build up on the points. they should be a nice silver or copper color. If they look good, replace your fuel filter.

    blacked out head lights,blue dome and map lights, color match engine cover,billet grille,blacked out, lettering,pionner head unit,mtx thunder thin, sub,rockford fosgate amp,flowmaster exhaust, aem brute force intake, 3" pro comp lift kit with add a leaf, led tail lights, tinted 3rd brake lights, 18" xd rockstar wheels, 285/60 nitto terra grappler tires, 7 color in car and under car led kit, i pod interface,n-fab side steps dont have pics up of these things yet but will soon but if you want to check them out go to cardomain.com and look for grilledtaco and you can see them there
    i just bought some blue leds for my gauge cluster but i dont know how to take off the needles so i can get at the circuit board so i can put them can anyone tell me how

    hey i seafoamed it and checked the fuel filter. it was pretty clean. so im guessing it has to be a distributor :-(
