Anyone, i need some help here, been browsing the fourm all day, so the truck will not start unless i keep my foot on the pedal, the P0136 code calls for replacement of the O2 Sensor, pretty simple, but also when i turn the ignition key i do not hear the fuel pump running, not sure if one could cause the other...any help would be greatly appreciated..

Don't throw the air sensors out of your mind just yet. When you press the pedal you're adding air to the cylinders and the ECU sees it and adds fuel to compensate. If the air flow sensors aren't recognizing the correct air flow they'll throw off the fuel being added.

Have someone look at how many amps the fuel pump is pulling with a scope. A good mechanic should be able to tell you what the fuel pump is doing.

So the Truck Run, did nothing to it other then let it warm up, no it starts and run fine, the is a smell of gas in the exhaust, couple that with the O2 sensor code, could this be the Fuel Pressure Regualtor? I re-checked all the vaccume lines etc..there is nothing visually wrong, engine sounds good,,,thanks again for any and all help...

Check fuel pressure and make sure it's not leaking down quickly with the truck shut off.

you are having issues with the evaporative fuel system, when you fill up the raw gas is flooding the cylinders and that is why it doesn't want to start, but after a few minutes it will run fine. Look up smoke test of fuel test on google and see what that tells you.

EVAP has nothing to do with filling the cylinders. If its "flooding the cylinders", the injectors are leaking like hell. All 6 won't start to leak at the same time.

Evaporative emission control exists to reduce the amount of hydrocarbons released into the air. Same with ORVR.

I think it is the vent needs to be cleaned out, Found this online.....sounds about right, right.

"I have a 2000 camry that I just fixed today. there is a vent tube and valve on the carbon canister that is located just behind the gas tank and above the cross member. this vent tube will get plugged up by ( of all things ) spiders, dirt daubers, and I even had a mouse pack the tube with dog food. Just remove the tube and the valve from the canister and clean them out. You will now be able to fill your gas tank again."

I am also getting bad mpg with this vent blocked.
