Push Button Start?

Has anyone here installed a push-button start in their Taco?

I am thinking about researching more info on a keyless, key fob in the pocket, push button start system.... Much what like the newer Lexus's and Vette's have. Thought I'd check here first.

Any ideas? Referrals? Pics?

I seem to remember a guy at TN that tried to do this, but ended up having issues so he gave up... gotta to try to find the thread...

 

thats so old-fashioned now, i just get in and say : "Tacoma On", and the engine starts....

I have a chip embedded in my brain. Whatever I think, the tacoma does.

The subject of push button starting comes up on CT about once or twice a year. Some people have gotten as far as buying the push buttons but never reported back that they'd ever actually installed them. The only CT-zen who ever explicitly claimed to have actually installed one (back in 2003) had already removed it by the time he mentioned he'd ever installed it ...
