Look on the back side of the pedal where the clutch master cylinder contacts the pedal lever. The point of contact is a point of plastic-on-plastic contact, and when it dries out, it squeaks. Shove in a generous blob of lithium grease.

Mine had the exact same issue. I couldn't figure out what exactly it was, but I just had the Toyota tech grease the problem part was when it got it's first oil change.

Thanks for this now I know what to look for next time it happens.

I greased the crap out of it, a temporary fix...
had Toyota look at it and they recommended $400 dollars in parts....a waste in my opinion...I'm cool with greasing it every couple months..

Yep, that is the permanent, temporary fix. The $400 replacement part is precisely identical to the one that is already in there, and the install process involves greasing it in precisely the same spot. As soon as the grease is gone from the new one, it will start squeaking exactly the same as the old one. Total waste of money since it doesn't solve anything.

I had a 2011 with that problem and took it to my local dealer, they found a badly worn area in the pedal it was replaced and was good to go may be same problem.

    It wasn't worn, just dry.
