Most posts I have read have the tx and rx data wires connecting to somewhere around the steering column, but the tacoma specific instructions for xpresskit PKALL has the connections behind the glove box on the right side? Anyone know which one is right? 2012 Tacoma, Viper 5204, xpresskit PKALL...thanks in advance

idk if you ever figure this out, but i stumbled upon this thread while doing my install. the wires you are looking for are in this plug by the ignition.

I'm at the same conclusion and wondering why PKALL has us going to the ECM behind the glovebox while apparently these wires are already at the steering column. One thing is that the picture of the data plug in this thread is not from a 2012 apparently so maybe on the 2012 you do have to go to the ECM module????? I'm hoping you can tell me what you ended up doing before I tap the wrong wires.
