LED conversion?
I was wondering if you could put a 3157 led bulb in the front signal/daytime running light without any problems. The existing bulb is a 4157 which apparently has more wattage because daytime running lights. I heard you will blow a fuse because of to much current allowed through the LED. If this is true, can you get a 4157 LED?

I've done LED replacements on my bike because of power savings for driving other devices (e.g. heated vests) as motorcycle alternators don't pump out as much power and it's a easy way to gain back some wattage. But they wound up being such a pain (unreliable). They also run considerably dimmer than incandescents, especially when not viewed from directly in front of the light.

One guy on another Tacoma forum said he put the Switchback lights in his truck. They flash amber and run white.
http://autolumination.com/3157_3156.htm Once you get to the site, do a search for Switchback. <ctrl-f> using IE I've also seen one guy who put a light silver paint coating over his stock bulb so it gives a white look when the lights are off.
