Probably the chain that holds the spare tire in place

LEER Shell with dome lights operated with 3 way switches, aux backup lights with relay and 3 position switch, modified wiring to compass/temp display and clock to include switch that disables dimming function (poor man's DRL solution), Scan Gauge 2
Normal. That extra length of chain gets extended when the spare is cranked down.

I have done all the hi-pro mods for a life time, since I got this truck at a great price, I will be happy with showroom new.
and its a good idea to run it up and down every now and then, and use some lubricant to keep it rust and crud free.

And if you want, just tuck it up into the spare's wheel, and no more dangley
