lol. thats for sure. I walked out to my truck and made a mental note to make sure I did the fill plug first. Once I got under the truck , all common sense went out the window. thanks for your help though, Chris. I appreciate it.

This is why you follow instructions kids.

When I did my diffs I did the front and transfer case fine, but the fill plug on the rear diff was stubborn as hell and began to round. I stopped there and called the dealer, asked if I could bring it in, would they break it for me an reseat it snug but not crazy-tight. They said sure, take 30 seconds, no charge.

Good thing I did the correct order. If I had done it the other why, I'd've been up your same creek.

Yeah. Mobil 1 LS in my diffs and t-case right now. It supposedly has the limited slip additive already in place. They say it works for limited slip and non-limited slip diffs...which I suppose it must, because it's the only 75-90 gear oil Mobil 1 makes, according to their website.

Looking like Redline for me next change though. Group 5 base stock.

Great write up fellas! I don't think I would've done it myself if it wasn't for the great instructions and pictures!

I changed the front/read diffs and the transfer case w/ Redline 75W90. I'm not sure if its in my head but I swear its rolling smoother.

I still haven't seen what product people are using, that they are happy with in LSD rear diffs.

Chris -- when you say "replace your fill plug" are you saying, just to it back in or to purchase a new one and then put it back in. Seems like a silly question on the surface but I am not sure if there is some importance to swapping a the plug. Thanks so much.

Remember to replace your fill plug!

no need to replace the plug, simply wipe the metal specs from the magnet on the plug.

then reuse (replace) the plug.
