In the process of swapping seats.

Putting in 2005 Subaru Forester XT seats and the driver's side is power. While the seat is out of the truck how can I run power to the seat motor?

Is it as simple as running a power lead from the positive terminal of battery and ground to the negative terminal and tapping in to the wiring going into the seat motor?

    Any help is appreciated

Are the seat switches mounted on the seat itself? If so, it should be as simple as hooking up power and ground, then operating the switches on the seat.

As long as they are 12V motors (don't know why they wouldn't be), putting power to each individual motor should work as well.

It doesn't get sketchy until we get into seats with a computer (memory) installed into them.
