OK just read about this now but I see most everything about the 4Runner.

1). On my 2010 Tacoma, is this still potentially an issue?

2). I've read it's a wise move to put an external trans cooler in and bypass the radiator one. No worries about tranny fluid in cold climates if I do that?

I saw a brief thing about external trans filters. What are the thoughts on that, and what kind is best?

Mine has under 10K and I wanna protect it. Just went through a nightmare with my old Chevy truck engine and if I can spend a little now to save a lot later, no better time.
