Change plugs in 2011 V6 at 30k miles?

The manual says to change them at 30k and mentioned something about it being required for the emissions warranty. Is this BS or should I pay the dealership $223 to change them? Could not changing them even effect the emissions equipment? To me it sounds like just another way for them to make money.
