I have had my tacoma for several years and the key fob made the truck beep when locking and unlocking. I baught the truck used but it is a factory Toyota fob. During a cold winter I remember the beep sounded sluggish and was at a different pitch then stopped working all together. Any clue how i can fix it? Does anyone know where the beep box is located? I am stuck.

Well, if anyone is still looking at this, I found the beep box. It was on the drivers side next to the battery. I am going to try and find a replacement and see if that works.

I bought a new beep box from radio shack and replaced the old one. Still no beep. I can't get any info from the dealers about how to fix this. It must be a relay switch or maybe I somehow, unknowing, turned the beep off with the fob program codes. If that is the case, I have no idea how to undo the turn off beep code that was entered. There must be someone who knows about these issues. Anyone...? Bueller....?
