    Have a 1996 tacoma 4 cyl. 4 WD hear a knock when i move forward or backward from a stop and sometimes when slowing down. Already changed universal joints, diff. fluid, transmission fluid. My truck is a 5 speed manual.

    Any suggestions

    Have a 96 taco 4cyl., 4wd, 5 speed manual. Sometimes hear a clank when moving forward or backward from a stop and sometimes when slowing down. Already changed universal joints, rear diff. fluid, transmission fluid. Sounds like its coming from the middle of the truck toward the rear.
