Will not idle??

04 4cyl. stick. It was running fine...no issues.... drove it Thurs... ran fine ... Friday it starts right up... stalls...hhhmmm... start it up again ... stalls. start it up again & keep my foot on the gas & it runs smooth as long as I keep the rpms at 1000 or above. When it stalls it doesn't cough or choke or sputter... it just dies.
No mods.... No recent service.

Any Ideas ?

I did a search here first but couldn't find a similar issue.

EGR valve or vacuum leak. Check vacuum hoses. Stick your finger under the EGR valve and push up on the diaphram to make sure it moves and is not stuck open or closed.

EGR valve seems to be working....... not able to locate any vacuum leaks.....
