I recently painted my radiator because I installed Satoshi grille, I don't know if it's directly associated with it but I noticed my ultra gauge is reading the temp 5 degrees hotter. Also i have hellas mounted behind the grille. Any insight? Should I be worried in the long run?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

yeah you should be worried, could seriously overheat stuck in traffic and kill the truck
if that paint is not specifically formulated for duty as a heat exchanger paint

some paints can grab and hold onto dust and dirt, and in a windstorm/dust event, maybe only one trip,
and suddenly you have no cooling

keep an eye on the ultra gauge temp...all the time

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
Your truck is going to blow up...

Just kidding, i dunno about everyone else but i am pretty sure my radiator is behind the AC condenser, so blacking out behind the grill shouldn't affect the radiator. Correct me if i am wrong

If it makes you feel any better i painted behind my grill and haven't had any issues. The hellas probably wont have any effect on airflow because you already increased the airflow with the satoshi mod
