I have 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 truck that has a major draw on my battery and killing the battery. A mechanic has found a blue and white wire out of many that comes out of a black circular thing which shows that it is where the draw is coming from, however they do not know what the wire is for. They are looking for a schematic for this year truck. How can I get one and/or does anyone know what this wire is for? Thanks!

That would be awesome. I have had my toyota to 4 different repair places and this is the first one that has actually found where the draw is coming from but does not know what the wire if for. Will the manual show like a schematic show what that wire if for?

P.S. Prior to this I have had a new alternator put in as well as two new batteries. The reason for 2 batteries is it had a upgraded sound system and tv's etc., but they have checked and the draw is not from any of the after market stuff, thus the reason for the manual.

I just spoke with them today and they claim they found out that the wire is for my power windows. Don't know why that would be causing a draw, just does not sound right, unless there is a bug with Toyota's and that year?

Interesting......when u turn the key off, do u have a small window (no pun) of time to open/close the window or until u open the door?

Just wondering if that timer maybe malfunctioning but even then, what would the draw be and would ur other acc be hot the whole time too?

    I assume they checked fuses?

Btw, there are auto electrical professionals that are trained highly in the art of automotive electronics....I have a guy I know luckily who's a master tech and is an electrical genius
