First Time Diff Oil Change

I am wanting to change my limited slip differential oil. I have a basic (no 4x4, no TRD, no SR5) V6 PreRunner. Few questions:

1. What type of weight oil do I buy?
2. Do I need to add an LSD additive?

Thanks in advance.

1. Read your manual for oil weights. The recommended weight has changed by year but I use 80W-90 for the rear and 75W-90 for the front and x-fer case.

2. If you do not have a mechanical LSD, you don't need the additive. There should be a sticker on the rear diff that states to use LSD additive if it's required. The mechanical LSD was available on some other models and not just TRD Sports if I recall correctly.
