This no start has me stumped, here is the background. About a year ago I have having starting issues and I had the starter replaced. Now I am having starting issues again. The starter just makes one loud click.

This is what I did so far. I replaced the battery and the starter, I tested all the fuses and relays, I even swapped relays just to double check. The thing I have noticed is the I do not hear the fuel pump prime when i turn the key to run. It does have a after market remote start installed from previous owner, though looks professionally installed.

    Thanks for the help

bad ground wire from batt to body, body to block or bad pos wire would be where I would start looking if you changed battery and starter

You know, that 98 of yours would probably only need these $9 pieces when the starter decides to act up. Not a new starter. That's what it usually is on these starters. Try pushing your clutch in and out with the key turned.

When did you replace the starter? Last year? Or now?

Try tapping on it while in the cranking position. Does your battery have enough "juice" to crank?

Your fuel pump priming or not would have nothing to do with the engine actually cranking over. This is one of the most common complaints that any shop tries to get the right information. Am I correct in saying that your complaint is the the engine will not CRANK, or that your complaint is that it will crank, but not start?

Seized pulley? Remove the belt and see if it turns over.

the thing i noticed is why doesn't the fuel pump prime, I'm thinking there is a bigger problem than the starter or battery. both are brand new bought on friday.

Check where the ground cable goes from the battery to the block. Remove that ground at the engine block, inspect it for corrosion. Clean it and re install it. I am suspecting a ground issue since you have a new starter.
