Last Tuesday, i was driving home from work and noticed my truck would shake from 1000-2500 rpm. It felt like it was a drive train issue, not suspension related.

The truck is a 2005 Tacoma Prerunner TRD with 104,000 miles. I took it to a local mechanic who drove it, then threw it on the lifts. Looking under the truck, we found where the two piece drive shaft connects was loose and wiggled, hence the rough shake under acceleration.

I did all three joints and the transmission seal at the drive shaft under 3rd party warranty from when i bought the truck. Parts and labor was $567. I paid $0 at end of the day.

Picked it up today after having to wait FIVE days for the warranty party to approve the repair. Truck runs smooth and not shimmies!
