So I spent the last week driving a rental 2013 Camry, nice car. One feature that I really liked about the Camry was the one touch "lane change" turn signal. Just tap the indicator switch and the blinker would flash three times and shut off. That simple feature spoiled me and now I'm looking for ways to add it to the truck.

I'm sure it can't be as simple as simply swapping the turn signal stalk, can it? I'm not too good with the electrical side of things so I'm trying to figure out what exactly would be needed or if it's even possible. I've looked at a few part diagrams of the Camry and can't really tell what I should be looking for. Would be easier if the feature was on the newer Tacomas but I haven't seen anything that says it's out there.

Anyone out there have any advice?

normally features like this are controlled a by a module. I have no experience with the way toyota does it, so i am just talking generalities. I would think if it's even possible it would be more involved than just a stalk swap.

Yeah I didn't plan on it being as easy as swapping the stalk. I'm guessing maybe the turn signal relay has something to do with the process. I've managed to track down the relay for both the Tacoma and Camry on

but have no idea if they would be interchangeable or not, let alone if this would even get the desired result. Maybe I'd have to add the Camry stalk too? Who knows if that would even fit. I may have to just get the parts and see what happens.

From what I can tell about the relays it looks like it's a no go.

    Did stumble across this however...

So for under $100 looks like you can just pick up an aftermarket relay and call it a day.
