    Hi,

I'm new to the forum and I'm atempting to do an "How to" guide on my first post..I put the bar pretty high :):)

    Here is my problem...

I was having a CEL P0037 for a while now (a year and a half) and I decided last week to fix it...so I ordered 2 brand new O2 sensors...but after replacing them and reseting the CEL, it came back....

So I used the troubleshoot guide in the Toyota repair manual (which should I've done the at first) ending with the solution : Replace ECM.... The problem was actually not having voltage coming out of the ECM to power up the heated part of the O2 sensor...

So I desasembled the ECM to find many voltage drivers....actually 3 or 6 (I can't remember) for the injectors and 3 for the coils...and !bang! 2 for the 2 O2 sensor.

Now I'm at the step where I've ordered part number "497-2487-1-ND" at DigiKey.com and waiting for it to arrives....

As soon as I'll get it, I'll replace the defect driver and let you know if it saves me buying a new ECM and make it reprogram at the dealer...

ho! BTW the voltage driver at DigiKey worth $1.14 which far less then an expensive ECM and a reprogramming at the dealer

Which sensors did you replace? P0037 is B1S1, which would be sensor before catalytic converter on passenger side. Also checked AF fuse and relay.

Hey, good luck on that and definitely let us know what the end result is! Also, be very careful with soldering on the ECU board. They are layered boards I believe, so if you are not careful you can melt the solder for another component. Good luck!!
