New member. Just bought 2010 Tacoma w/2.7 (my 2nd Tacoma). Wondering if it's a BAD idea to use ramps for oil change? I'm using Amsoil 0W20 w/ Mobil 1 filter and wondered if I'm getting a complete oil drain when the front end is elevated on ramps?

No matter what you do, you will never get ALL of the oil out of your vehicle. You don't have to. The main idea is to get most of it out, and the little bit that is left will dilute into the new oil. And so on and so forth.

I don't even use any ramps.....are you able to fit under the truck?

Just make sure you're putting IN the proper amount and DO NOT check the dipstick unless the truck is on level ground and the oil has had time to settle.

My thanks for your replies--much faster than I had imagined! My truck is 2wd. I can reach the drain plug easily, the filter not so much...hence thinking about using ramps.
