Have not heard anything yet. I'm going to wait for their call and see, as I'm sure the approval process is not quick. Fingers are still crossed!

I don't want a new truck really... And the frame clearly doesn't not need replacing, I would even be happy if Toyota repaired the existing one. An entirely new frame would be nice though. I would like to see about a rental car though, only having a motorcycle, especially one as finicky and expensive the new European bikes are,has some downsides. I did tell my dealer the truck was my main transportation so hopefully they will help expedite it.

Update: after dealing with my dealer for over three weeks, I finally get someone to actually call me back. I feel my frustration shifted from the actual problem of my frame, to the problem that the dealer would not even give me a good answer. Everything I got from them is "I will call you back" but of course I never heard back. I finally get ahold of the service manager and in being way more of a dick then I wanted to be, I found out that after two and a half weeks they did not even contact Toyota about the problem. I was not happy and made that clear with the service manager on Saturday. I got a call from him today saying that after he put the claim in on Saturday they came back with my truck has too many miles for them to cover. I feel as though it isn't a mileage issue, more of just a poor frame design issue. Frames really shouldn't have a mileage life on them right? At least not 129000 miles. So my question is, how many of you who've had your frames fixed have had higher miles? And does anyone have a suggestion for when I call Toyota in the morning? Anything on how I go about battling Toyota myself?

The frame should be the thing that lasts. Unless its rust causing the frame failure, Toyota should cover it.

So I got word on Tuesday Toyota was not gonna cover my frame. This was on the 15th when earlier the service manager said Toyota's field specialist was going to come look at it the 16th. Battled it out with Toyota and they said they would go with the dealers decision. So I picked it up today and they wouldn't even give me a copy of the RO, any proof that they talked to Toyota, or even any paperwork that it was even there. I thought that was kind of weird and just reinforced my feeling that they did not even talk to Toyota about it. Oh well, now I just have to figure out what I will do with my truck.

Don't give up too soon. I bought a rusty '03... talked to 3 different dealers about my frame... they all gave me the run around. Then I tried a 4th dealer and they couldn't have been more accommodating. New frame ordered. I know its not the same generation or issue as yours, but the point is try more dealers.
