6lug LSD to 5lug diff

Will the 6lug torrsion LSD swap into my 5lug housing?

 

Nobody knows if the 2nd gen 5lug diff is 8.4 like the 6lug 2nd gen

 

I think they're different. Pretty sure. Someone else can confirm.

 

See Ive been told they are different or the same. I need schematics, trying to buy this lsd but I don't want to buy it if it won't fit

 

I meant torsen, my phone put torrsion. And that does not work regular 5lugs and xrunners carry the same part numbers for the front springs yet the xrunner are a .5" lower.

 

Part number is only going to be specific to the housing, not to the actual internal parts as those have there own number designations.

 

You should reread what I wrote. #missedthatmessage. I wouldn be looking for certainty if it wasn for getting mixed information across multiple post from multiple users. Thanks for the link though
