    07 tacoma. I get a Grind metal to metal an a popping when I back up. I think it's when I have my steering wheel turn to the left. It happen very periodically, it my go as much as couple of week or more. When I pull forward it does it for sec. then stops.

    BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    Driveshaft u-joints and/or carrier bearing, perhaps.

    Steering wheel turned to left makes me wonder about CV joint(s) on front end. Do you hear anything going forward in a turn (as opposed to straight ahead). :notsure:

    not that I've notice. just when I back up. I've tried to recreate the problem an can not it make happen
