2001 toyota tacoma 4x4 PROBLEMS.

    Bought my first toyota,
    2001
    Single cab
    4cl
    5speed
    Manual 4x4

    Wolnt engage 4 wheel. Shifter moves into the gear butNo light(if there is one). No sounds. Nothing.... I don't know much about yotas. Just stepped out of a f150 into a tacoma. So could anyone give me a few things to check or test? Thanks!

    Put in on jack stands and see if all wheels move.

    Bilsteins, OME 881's, 3-leaf AAL, Detroit TruTrac, Tundra brake swap, Michelin LTX AT2, Tranny skidplate, TC skidplate, CBI rear bumper, TG sliders, UltraGauge, PowerTank, Reverse Camera
    It may be in 4WD, but the dash light just doesn't come on.

    There is an electrical wire connected to the transfer case for the light to work, get underneath your truck and see if its still connected.
