Mine had the most room in the rear close to the bumper and it's way clear of the diff on any sort of bump situation. Have you looked at any of the straps used to mount the spun aluminum tanks in sandrails, there are 8" and 10" ones online might be able to make one of those work.

I see the location that you are talking about and I have seen a lot of people mounting there but I am pretty sure I will be moutning it to the spare tire crossbar/support.

I will be making my own supports for the tank (maybe tomorrow?). I already picked up a Grover semi truck air horn and found a good location for it. I need to make mounting brackets but that will have to wait. I am pretty sure I will be making a quick disconnect near each wheel well (to air up without carrying too much hose around) and another quick disconect in the bed. I am considering putting a quick disconnect on the top of the front bumper just for availability since I am working on it.

I thought about the spare mount too but I wanted the tank to be higher than the bottom of my bumper in case I ever came down on something that could hit it.. Having Eric at Relentless to help design the mount/tank skid helped too.

Anyone know where to order quick disconnect dust caps? I am having a hard time figuring out what size I need.

I found some basic covers on McMaster-Carr but I need to order 100... I only need 3. lol

Got mine from a hydraulic supply store in Reno, they are a little tight but work awesome.

Cane tips or other round furniture feet should work too.

I would be down for some. If they do work out I may be interested in 7 or 8 of them.

    Ya, what he said lol

I am still working on my install so I'm not sure how many I'll need yet but I should know by tomorrow. If I could get a picture that would be great.

Hey glad I could get onto this thread! I've got on board air on my build thread and I'm the OP on the belt driven air saga thread- which has pretty much all the leg work done for someone to do belt driven air with an alternative to the fat ass YORK compressors (Sanden)
found the right model numbers etc. then ran outta time and motivation.. glad to help anyone do it till work slows down for me though.

All this talk of compressors and hardware reminded me that KP Components sells stuff you can use to get your OBA set up.
