I'm looking for Toyota models & production years with would have the same rear manual limited slip differential (LSD) which came stock in the 2005-2007 Tacoma Sports.

I'm thinking of replacing my stock rear open differential with this LSD but before I start searching through salvage yards, I'd like to broaden my search by knowing if any other Toyota's are candidates. I have a 2007 4x4 4.0L 6-speed manual with 3.73 gears.

I know the US 2WD FJ Cruiser comes with a rear LSD but I'm not sure if it's compatible. I'm thinking the 4-Runner and maybe even the Tundra would be a candidate too.

My 2007 SR5 didn't come with a LSD in the rear which is why I'm looking for one.

I did figure out that the same LSD was available in Tundra's built between 1999 and 2006. The Toyota part# for the LSD is 41302-34010 and the # for the whole Tacoma LSD 3rd member is 41110-35A70.

So far, it looks like the FJ Cruiser's LSD is not compatible. At least on paper that is.

Thanks for that link. That's a good price! I sent them an email to confirm if their LSD will fit 2nd gens tacos and if they ship to Canada.

unfortunately their LSD doesn't fit the 2nd gens.

Starting to look into the Eaton-Detroit Truetrac. Kinda thinking that since I'll only be saving ~$200 to install a used factory clutch style LSD might as well install a new torsen style for a little more. Ideally I can get my hands on a used factory unit with the complete 3rd member so I can just slap it in without needing to set the backlash. I've never done it before and I'm not confident enough to try for the first time on my daily driver.
