Thanks, good vehicle specific info. In the past for hard to get to plugs I attach a few of inches of a vacuum line to the end of the plug and use it to help start the threads of the plug. The vacuum line gives me a better feel, compaired to starting it with the socket & extention, to prevent crossthreading Once the threads are started, pull the hose and it popps off the plug for the final tightening.

I have heard a few people do it this way. Personally, I have more feel with the extensions and plug socket.

and check your book,on gen 2 we not need to change plugs at 30K we are good for 100 K. so see the 4 banger is a nice economical engine ;-D

Great write up....I'm only at 20k now, I'm wondering how much does the dealer or a shop charge to change out the plugs? I'm sure it is a lot considering you say 2 hours. I'll have to get my bf to help me with this one.
