    Hey all,

So I went to the local AV place to get a quote for a car alarm (2 way paging, remote start) something along the lines of a Viper 5900 or a Clifford 50.5X they wanted $750 installed. This was similar to other prices I got at a few other shops, when checking ebay I found I could get the entire system for around $180. I would normally jump on a savings like that but my problem is I have never really done much in the way of working on cars (but I am trying to learn), so how complicated/risky is it for me to install my own car alarm?

    Thxs,
    Chris
