I have a 2013 TRD Offroad with a manual transmission. When I let off the throttle there is a SIGNIFICANT delay before the engine begins to resist forward movement (aka engine-brake). Sometimes it's 2-3 seconds. It's particularly bad when the AC and/or defroster is on (which kinda makes sense), but it happens regardless. It's like the throttle remains partially open for a few seconds, or the idle control valve is hanging open allowing the manifold pressure to remain artificially high. When I let off the gas, I want the throttle to shut...period. Has anyone else noticed this, and does anyone have a fix? Is it possible that they used the same throttle control programming on my truck with a manual transmission as they would on an automatic?
On a separate note, the brakes are very "grabby", and have been from day-1. It seems like the calipers are sticking a bit. Anyone have a fix? I read somewhere that these trucks have something like a "panic assist" that provides additional brake boost during a sudden braking application. Can this be turned off?
