I found a little muddy road this morning on the way to work, switched the dial to 4H and headed in. About halfway in, I heard a strange clicking noise coming from the gas pedal area. Never heard it before. Wish I knew more ways to describe it.....

    Any ideas?

Just curious but do you think it may have been coming from the wheel/hub area? If it is and it clicks when your wheel rotates, it's the wheel bearing. I had to get mine replaced.

I would hope it's not that with a new truck.

It wasn't constant. I didn't hear it until I was halfway down the trail and hit a thicker part of mud.

Hope it's not the wheel bearings, but I'm still well under warranty.

Boy....do I feel like a dummy. I went again today and found that there was a little bit of scraping on the bottom side. I guess need to hurry and get this truck lifted.

I have a similar problem, random clicking noise, sounds like it's coming from the pedals. Not a constant noise, happens at seemingly random times but usually when I hit a significant bump, pot hole, etc. Also happens when I tend to lift off the gas after accelerating and occasionally when initially pressing on brake pedal. What was scraping on yours, was it just hitting the ground when you hit the deep mud?

That may have been the case...but I heard it again the other day and it didn't really sound like scraping this time. BUT...I didn't hear it at all when I went through some serious stuff.
