2nd gen thumping from front end

    2000 Excursion 7.3L - Ex '11 Taco DCSB
    As the title states, getting a thumping from the front end on the driver side. Usually only happens when really cold. Cleveland has been in the teens for a while now. Usually when it's been sitting for a while and I start driving I hear it and not only when I hit bumps. When I start moving and suspension starts to flex. Could it be a bad shock? I have tagged a few good pot holes. Any thoughts

    So not sure what it is. It's been in the 20s or better and not doing it anymore. Maybe just some ice build up somewhere
