The day was going well until the last bolt. 3 out of 4 fluids changed. All new spark plugs. Then the bolt broke on the #2 cylinder cap. I thought I had it tight but it just kept going. Yep, one half turn too much. Snapped that bitch off right at the block. Tried to drill and retrieve it. No luck. Calling the dealership tomorrow at 7 am to get her in. FUCK ME

Is it drive able on 5 cylinders/safe to drive or should I just get it towed to the dealership?

I would tow it your going to be dumping fuel into the cylinder with out it firing off it will collect and run down the cylinder walls and such. Might score the walls , raw fuel will go to your oil pan also. Just my opinion

    You could unplug the injector.

Did you break the coil pack bolt? I did that two and I ended up getting a new valve cover and new seals because it also had a slight leak. Costs about 600 per side for a new valve cover and seals

A good trick when drilling out a bolt to extract it is to start with a very small bit first and slowly work your way up until the hole is large enough for a screw extractor bit. Use a good lube spray to aid the drill bit while it is cutting. It takes patience because the bolt is hardened steel :/ Do you have extractors and good bits ? Oh also soak it with penetrating spray after you are done drilling it.

That I did. And now I get to follow in your steps. Fuck

Everything was working fine. My drill bit the extractor but did not back it out. So I used some heat from a butane torch. No go. Then I decided to try and use the extractor manually with a socket. And boom. The aluminum gave and now I defiantly get to go to the dealership tomorrow

Do this, otherwise the excess fuel (not being burned in the cylinder, but still getting pumped into the exhaust) will burn up the catalytic converter when it gets up to temperature.

Just install the plug and snap the coil pack down over it.

^ this. I drove mine around like this for over a year without a misfire. It was only when oil started seeping from the valve cover gasket, I decided to knock two birds out with one stone.

Would have don that if I had a welder.

    I bet that works quickly

I ended up having it towed. That's why I pay for AAA.
