Hello -- I am trying to research the feasibility of feeding a custom video signal to the 6.1" display on a 2014 Tacoma (equipped with Entune Premium w/Nav).
I am not sure if the standard Entune signal (with touch-screen haptic feedback data) is tied directly to the LCD panel, or if it's in/out through cables and pins (which makes it easier to Y off of and hijack).
Another option would be to hijack the backup camera line and disable the Reverse-Only block.
The goal is to output a native-resolution video signal from a small Linux computer to the display that can be toggled (and override the standard Entune OS) while the vehicle is running and in motion. If I cannot capture touch-screen data than it's not a huge deal.
I know there are some threads about people feeding backup-cam video from their rearview mirror to their Entune display (like this one: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd...h-display.html), but they seem a bit stale at this point and I have a bit of a different goal in mind.
Any direction/tips/info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks--
